Our Mission

Our mission is to provide thorough evaluations and treatment options, to make sure that all of your questions are answered and that you have a clear understanding of how to help your pets live longer, healthier lives. We approach each patient with the goal of keeping them thriving, not just surviving, for as long as we can. We aim to truly integrate traditional and Chinese veterinary medicine.

Dr. Masters’ specialized training in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine gives her special insight into what conditions your pet could be predisposed to developing, even in puppyhood and kittenhood. In pets that have pre-existing illness, this extra training opens the door to additional treatment options, including herbal therapy, food therapy and acupuncture treatments.

Lastly, we are a locally owned small business with an interest in remaining environmentally conscious and using the highest quality, safest medications for your pets. For example, we use biodegradable pill vials and examination gloves. We limit the use of plastic when we have a choice.  We follow scientific research in choosing the most effective medications and treatments for your pets.

We would love for you to give us a try to see the difference we can make.  If you’ve seen Dr. Masters previously, you know that her approach to your pet and medicine is one-of-a-kind.

Who We Are

Many of the patients seen in general practice who were coming in to maintain their health or to address minor ailments would have been much less stressed if a vet could have come to them instead of them being loaded up, transported in, hustled through intake and, eventually, evaluated and treated. Imagine if your pet could avoid the most stressful parts of a vet visit.

This isn’t to say that all veterinary offices are the same. That’s absolutely not the case. We’ve seen firsthand what makes some practices thrive and have pets excited to see their trusted providers and what makes some pet parents want to dodge ever having to go back.

Our team is patient with you and your furry friends. We want what is best for them. Our goal is to come to your home and keep the clinical-feeling parts to a minimum. A relaxed pet often doesn’t realize they’re being examined. When their part of the visit is over, they can camp out on your couch, go run in the back yard or keep a watchful eye on us from a distance. Then, we can discuss our physical exam findings and recommendations. If we’re seeing your pet for a chronic issue (like arthritis or kidney disease), we can discuss how effective our current therapy is and what other options we have.
